International Forensic Photography Workshop

A comprehensive workshop, consisting of lectures and hands-on sessions designed for those in the forensic and law enforcement fields. Participants will learn to: properly photograph an autopsy and related gross specimens, photograph a crime scene properly, apply basic lighting and exposure techniques, use close-up photography as a tool, record images too fast for the human eye in the High-Speed photography Gun range, and utilize full spectrum photography techniques to record evidence normally invisible to the eye. Participants will learn how to choose and maintain equipment that is best suited for their needs.  Each day will consist of lectures, hands-on shooting assignments followed by review of the photographs.  Camera equipment will be provided for use during the workshop, although participants are encouraged to bring their own. This workshop is approved by the IAI for the photography certification and offers 35 credit hours of CEU’s from The American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators (ABMDI).
